GOLD OIL PLC ('Gold Oil' or the 'Company') Significant Shareholding

The Company was informed on 10 December 2007 that following an acquisition of ordinary shares in Gold Oil on 6 December 2007, Credit Agricole Cheuvreux International Ltd has an interest in 23,131,268 of the Company's shares, representing 4.83% of the Company's issued share capital.
